A Childhood of Survival
I grew up in chaos. At just two years old, I witnessed violence in my home. I fought back, standing between my father and my mother, trying to protect her. I took the hits, the throws against the wall, anything to keep them safe.
When my father left, my mother worked two jobs to keep us afloat. At school, I became the fighter, standing up against bullies, misunderstood by teachers who saw me as the problem. My battles turned into assaults, and I was lost in a cycle of survival.
